I've never posted food reviews or places recommendation before since I didn't really go out that much anyway. But since last year, I've grown interest in food photography and also had a chance visited a lot of cool cafés with astounding interiors and great vibes. Yes, I thought 2020 (with all those quarantines time happening) I will be just stay in the city. But, I felt so blessed that I still could travel around the country.

TC Lazy Screening: Watching FRIENDS The First Time In My 30s!

I've been a fan of situational comedy or SitCom most people would say. For example, How I Met Your Mother & The Big Bang Theory are still two of the series I keep watching randomly until now. One of the reasons probably because of its simplicity. I remember coming back from a hard day in uni to a fresh and funny episode that didn't take much to make me laugh. It's short enough to be watched during my dinner time with all the problems that has surfaced, resolved in the end of the episode. And also, having those kind of circle who get to hang out everytime is the dream.

Among all of the series I've watched, there's one huge title that I haven't touched yet, not until recently.

I have never ever ever ever ever watched Friends.

This show, which apparently lots of other shows look up to, is finally within my reach and I've finished watching everything in around 6 days.

As like other shows, Friends gave you life lessons, valuable guidance on how to interact with people, and obviously, great times. There are lots of lessons I gathered from the show, but in a glance, here are 3 points I learnt from watching 236 episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S:

1. Yes, Turning 30 is Kind of Scary

Accepting the fact that you're an adult is horrifying, and realizing that everything you have imagined being an adult when you're a kid then finding out you're still not reaching it kind of a bit frightening. But we gotta enjoy it since we create memories with people around us and at some point on our lives we're gonna cherish it.

2. Starting a Relationship is Hard (pretty much throughout all of the seasons)

As everybody get histories with tons of their relationship before, you will find yourself disappointed several times because of some crushed expectations.

3. It's Always Seems Crazy to Change Career and Start Something New

Some people love their jobs, some don't. Finding ways to channel your passions sometimes seems taking a long time. But it's worth the time spent. And you know what they say about comfort zone is a dangerous place, that stuff is real.

TC Apps Insight: Ablo, Best App of 2019!

2019 seems not to long ago yet so far away. A lot of things have happened during, as you've read in the news. I remember at the end of 2019, GooglePlay announced several categories of apps within certain criteria and on the top of it, the application which got the title as The Best App of 2019 was Ablo.

Ablo is a social networking app who will provide you a one-on-one chat room with anyone around the world (who, of course, using the app at the same time). The idea is to make you as an aircraft's passenger, take on a flight to another country and talk to people.

As any other social interactions, be it in real or digital world, you always need to be cautious, learn about the environment, accept differences and be open minded. So, please make sure that you've read the rules before stepping inside the plane.

During the waiting period, the screen will show various fun fact about random country that's quite interesting.

To add the fun, there gonna be points for any mission achieved. Here's what I've got on the First Talk!

TC Good Tunes: 10 Tahun Menginspirasi, Terima Kasih Banyak Efek Rumah Kaca!

DISCLAIMER: This post will be written mostly in Indonesian. So if you don't understand it, you better prepare a translator. :D

Di Senin sore (24/7), my friend Pricil (@pforpatience) ngirim sebuah foto yang bikin gw deg-deg ser (enggak..bukan fotonya Kim Domingo), tapi foto..yang menjatakan bahwa..salah satu band favorit gw ngadain konser dadakan tiba-tiba suddenly.

Yaa, benar! Efek Rumah Kaca. Konser di deket kantor. Lima puluh ribu saja. Open Gate jam empat sore. Hari kerja. Tanggal tua. Cuma 2000 tiket.

Dua hari dihabiskan dengan mengeluarkan usaha maksimal untuk mencari massa menghadiri hajatan eksklusif ini (baca: cuma post di IG story dan di Whatsapp story), lalu sampailah kita pada hari yang dinanti.

Rabu, dua puluh enam Juli dua ribu tujuh belas. Sempat gamang ya-nggak-ya-nggak buat datang, namun tepat pada pukul sebelas lima puluh tiga menit siang, saya memutuskan untuk...nge-mall dan membeli Micro SD 32 GB guna mengabadikan aksi ciamik om Cholil dkk menapaki nada-nada.

Jadwal Open Gate mulai pukul empat sore. Namun apa daya sebagai karyawan teladan, diri ini baru bisa beranjak setelah pukul lima. 

Langit yang mulai menjingga membuat gw mulai gelisah, sedikit-sedikit liat jam tangan, dan berceletuk dalam hati, "sudah waktunya kah untuk angkat kaki?"

Pukul lima lebih sedikit, akhirnya gw cabut...

...cabut charger HP.

Pukul lima lewat sedikit lagi, gw ke meja @pforpatience, berdebat sedikit perihal ketersediaan tiket yang terbatas, lalu lintas yang padat, dan satu jam yang hilang dari jadwal open gate. Namun gw bilang bahwa gw tetap akan datang dan mencoba peruntungan mendapatkan selembar tiket tersebut.

Akhirnya @pforpatience luluh juga dan memutuskan untuk ikut dalam perjalanan ke timur mencari tiket suci kali ini.

Pukul lima dua puluh, kita melewati jembatan penyebrangan dan menyaksikan padatnya lalu lintas ke arah venue.

Pukul enam kurang lima, kita sampai di venue. Bergegas ke lt. 3 dan sigap menunjukan dua jari pada penjaja tiket.

Pukul tujuh tiga puluh malam, ballroom dibuka dan ruangan tampak padat merayap.

Pukul sudah-gak-aware-waktu-lagi, para personel naik panggung, berdialog sebentar kemudian menyambut tamu pertama malam itu, Iga Massardi dari Bara Suara, yang kemudian memainkan intro dari lagu yang dia sesalkan bukan miliknya --> Kau Dan Aku Menuju Ruang Hampa.

Ruangan itu tak henti terisi. Panggung yang terlalu rendah menyulitkan mata-mata yang terlalu jauh darinya untuk merekam momen lebih jelas. Memaksa mereka untuk berseru, 

"duduk! duduk!"

Namun apalah daya, genre yang Efek Rumah Kaca usung akan sulit dinikmati tanpa berjingkrak-jingkrak. Satu persatu bait-bait menggema di ruangan, membius mata-mata lapar akan suguhan musik berkualitas.

Secara garis beras...I mean, besar, pertunjukan ini dibagi menjadi dua sesi. Sesi pertama diisi dengan lagu-lagu dari Sinestesia yang sahut-menyahut dan...jujur-saja...baru didengar seluruhnya dua hari terakhir ini.

Sesi kedua diisi dengan kenangan.

Pada saat break setelah sesi pertama, sebuah film diputar untuk mengawali sesi kenangan. Film tentang asal mula band ini dirintis. Film tentang lagu pertama diproses. Film tentang inspirasi dilahirkan.

Sesi kedua dimulai dengan mengajak satu per satu figur-figur penting yang mengiringi perjalanan Efek Rumah Kaca 10 tahun terakhir ini ke atas panggung dan menyampaikan cerita mereka lalu menyebutkan satu per satu lagu yang akan dimainkan.

Sungguh khidmat.

Salah satu yang paling berkesan adalah lagu Di Udara video berikut:

TC Apps Insight: Card Thief

Published by Arnold Rauers, Card Thief is the first card game that I actually play on Android.

I was caught, simply by its beautifully drawn illustrations, soothing music, and story. On the first visit, user will be provided a tutorial which range from the symbols explanations, game rules, options, etc.

If, at some point, you forgot any of the lessons, you can always re-visit the tutorials.

The tutorials can be found as Lessons on the main menu. Along with it, there are Map, and notification of chests you're currently acquiring.

Scroll down some more and you will meet the Guild Master. He's the only one who can open the chests and provides you with some abilities. Perhaps, you're starting to wonder what's the chests I'm talking about.

   

For each mission, your objective is to collect coins called Insignia which is stored in a chest. These Insignia will allow you to access a castle in order to complete the map.

You will be dealt a thief card, which is you, plus another 8 cards which represent various chances. You can pause or quit anytime you want by clicking the button on the upper right corner and your game will be automatically saved.

Once the all the required cards have been dealt, an escape card will show. You can either collect more diamonds to increase score or escape right away. :)

TC Apps Insight: Donut Trumpet Tycoon

Connected to foursquare, this game allows you to buy properties nearby and earn daily rent everytime people check-in to the place.

The first screen shows the most renowned figure in the industry (well the game's name already give us the clue) smiling and raising his thumb while the other hand is put near a button that says "Do Not Press!", like saying he will follow the rules but secretly rebels. Nice try! :)

After a while of playing you will be presented with a chance card (I guess it's daily, but I'm not sure). This chance card will affect your current balance and your mind, cuz it will make you think that it has anything to do with your luck.

1. Dashboard

This screen allows you to see your achievement, total amount of your asset, your current cash available, level, etc. One important number here is your coin balance. It allows you to speed up your progress on "Your Skills" tab.  

All other features will be shown once you click the menu on the top left of the screen. They are pretty much self-explanatory, but to give a full insight, I am going to show each feature from this game.

2. Buy Properties

This is the list of properties around you within radius of hundreds meters. The percentage shows how much of the property is being owned by someone.

When you click one of the property, it will show the detail of your bid. the slider for how much you want to buy, estimated revenue, and daily cost. If you decide to buy, it will show another screen that tell your legal team are working on the paperwork for your purchase. The higher the price, the longer it takes to finish the paperwork. And they will charge you if it exceeds 24 hours.

The validation is neat and has been thought thoroughly. You can't buy if you don't have enough money. You can't proceed if you don't have enough lawyers.

3. Marketplace

Marketplace shows various properties outside of your area from around the world. You will be amazed to see what kind of assets being sold here.

They provide five options as filters, as shown below:

The first one is Category which shows various type of properties like: ATM, Auto Dealer, Shopping Mall, and lots of surprises for sure. The second is Time, it will sort the list based on remaining time to bid. The third one is Country which shows list of country where the properties lays.

The fourth one is based on the number of bids the property had, and the last one is based on the market value which the property offers.

4. Activity

This section will store every action you took in the game. Whether it's a purchase, bidding, sells, etc.

5. Portfolio

This part will show you, your assets so far. For each asset, it will show a simple balance sheet includes the total revenue you've received and total costs you've spent.

You can get into detail of each property by tapping it. It will show you the sums of your earnings, the monthly cost, etc. It also shows you three options such see who owns the property, how to increase earnings, and sell the property.

The only way to increase earnings is by using your coins. There are various upgrades on a property with certain percentage of profit for certain amount of coins.

You can see who own the shares for the property by clicking VIEW OWNERS. For example, 20% of SETIABUDI HOUSE is owned by me.

There's a limit of how many properties owned by a user (can be seen on Portfolio --> Max Properties). If you think you are ready to "fly higher" you can sell your old property to buy a better one which generates better incomes.

6. Property Offers

I'm not sure what it does, but I guess it's for user who got a bid for their properties.

7. Bank

Obviously there's always ways to raise coins. One of them is by buying them for some "real" money.

8. Upgrades

You can also upgrade properties based on the options.

9. Leaderboards

This menu will show you your current ranks among other players, whether on national or global scale.

10. Announcements

Some information really worth a look in this section.
